Release Notes

During last months infostrait performed extensive load, stress and performance testing on the straitPortal platform. As a result an optimized version of the straitPortal platform is available now. By far the most important performance upgrades are done in the Connection Pool part (version 1.5.2.5).

We’re not diving into detail here, but currently we are working on a report with more details about the results of the straitPortal platform tests. As a summary: straitPortal is more scalable and performs better than ever. With the straitPortal platform on top of SmarTeam you can perform operations in SmarTeam with a speed you never saw before.

Windows Authentication, straitPortal Express and SharePoint

Posted @ 3:10 PM on September 28, 2010 by Tom van Oost

After setting up straitPortal using the straitPortal SmarTeam Suite web installation (www.straitportal.com/get), authentication of straitPortal Express is defaultly set to SmarTeam authentication.

When integrating straitPortal Express and SharePoint a common scenario is to authenticate on SmarTeam/straitPortal Express using Windows credentials (no additional logon needed).

To make this work, the following changes have to be made in the UI\web.config file (straitPortal SmarTeam Suite folder):

PersonalizationId: SharePoint
Authentication mode: Windows
Allow users: COMPUTERNAME\UserName
