After setting up straitPortal using the straitPortal SmarTeam Suite web installation (www.straitportal.com/get), authentication of straitPortal Express is defaultly set to SmarTeam authentication.
When integrating straitPortal Express and SharePoint a common scenario is to authenticate on SmarTeam/straitPortal Express using Windows credentials (no additional logon needed).

In this post we explain howto upgrade an existing instance of a straitPortal Connection Pool to a newer version.
Stop the Connection Pool Windows Service (”Infostrait.Generic.ConnectionPool.Service.exe”) or close the Connection Pool Development Client (”Infostrait.Generic.ConnectionPool.DevelopmentClient.exe”).
Overwrite all .exe and .dll files starting with “Infostrait.” with the new versions.
