A new version of the straitPortal SmarTeam Suite, containing a new version of the straitPortal platform, is available. straitPortal SmarTeam Suite is a fully functional suite with services and applications around SmarTeam, based on the straitPortal platform. Setup is easy, and the goal is simple: simplify the deployment of straitPortal products. The suite contains components for IT experts and Developers.

Enhancements (straitPortal Express / all Web Parts)
- Optimization of embedded javascript, client ids and css results in smaller page sizes.
- Ability to share data sources between web parts, to optimize performance. Check CacheConfiguration.CacheKey and CacheConfiguration.CacheMode.Request in the platform documentation.
- Ability to share data caches between pages using the new CacheConfiguration.CacheKey property.
- Add ShowRPT=true to a page query string to show the total Request Processing Time at the end of a page (for example: default.aspx?ShowRPT=true).
Grid enhancements
- Default focus on filter/search box now disabled.
- Textual and multilangual changes in “Group by” area.
- GridColumnConfiguration has a new property Align to align the contents of the column.
- GridControlConfiguration has a new property AutoGroupBy to initialize the grid directly in Grouping mode.
- GridControlConfiguration has a new property EnableTextWrapping. Set this property to ‘true’ to wrap overflowing text to new lines.
- GridControlConfiguration has a new property Width to set an absolute size for the grid. Note: you can fill this property with a value from the page querystring (for example: default.aspx?GridWidth=500).
- GridControlConfiguration has a new property EmptyGridText, use this property to show a specific text when no data is available in the grid.
- Specify the page size of a grid in the page querystring (for example: default.aspx?NumberOfRows=50).
- Custom css can be specified per column now. For example: .DataCellDescription { color: Red; }
Tree enhancements
- TreeClassNodeConfiguration has a new property SortInstructions to enable sorting in tree child nodes.
Other enhancements
- Several issues fixed for running SqlDataRetrieveDefinitions.
- DefaultEventManager logs path of executing assembly to the Windows Event log (better bug tracking when running multiple instances of web applications or connection pools).
